About Bendix Services

The Popo Agie runs right through the middle of Lander, close enough to Main Street that several old storefronts have footbridges within sight of their front doors, and those bridges ice over before the streets ever do. Bendix Services works the downtown blocks and the residential streets backed up against that river corridor, where cold off open water in a hard freeze can leave a sidewalk slick long after the rest of town has dried out. A plowed Main Street with the river still running black and open beside it is one of the small contrasts that make a Lander winter morning what it is. Sidewalks that run next to moving water get watched on their own schedule here, checked and re-cleared on a different clock than the block just up the street.
