About Village Gardener

Along the Moose-Wilson Road the mornings start wet — dew heavy on everything, mist lifting off the ponds, aspens standing white and close on both sides of the pavement. Village Gardener begins its days in that stillness, working the yards tucked back among the trees with weekly mowing, trimming and careful edging. Summer here is compressed into a few generous months, so the schedule is honest and steady from the first cut to the last. Fall means leaves off the lawns and beds cleared before the valley shuts down for its long half of the year. A trimmed, evenly cut yard set in all those aspens is a small piece of order in a place that mostly runs wild, and it is a good thing to leave behind.
