About MountainScapes

Ten minutes before the sun goes, the Cathedral Group turns pink and East Gros Ventre Butte throws a long blue shadow across the north end of Jackson. MountainScapes likes that hour — the last mow of the day finishing while the range lights up behind it. The work itself is unglamorous and exact: mowing on a weekly turn, trimming close along stone and fence, edging so the line between lawn and gravel stays a line. Ground here is rocky, slopes are real, and a yard cut evenly on a grade takes more care than one on flat land. Getting it right is the whole reward, and the view is a bonus nobody in this valley has ever gotten used to.
