Fish Creek runs cold and quick down the west side of the valley, and in June it is still carrying snowmelt under cottonwoods that leaf out weeks after the calendar says spring. Lawngevity Landscapes starts its season along there, waiting on ground firm enough to work, then settling into weekly mowing, trimming and edging once the grass finally decides to go. Runoff season means soft lawns and careful lines, and there is a craft to leaving no marks behind. By midsummer the yards along the creek hold their color while the sage beyond them fades, and the contrast is the point. A clean cut, a defined edge, a place that looks looked-after — that is what keeps the trucks moving down these lanes.
