About JD Piano Services

The residential streets near Evanston's elementary school go quiet under snow in a particular way — footsteps softened, the usual morning traffic slowed to a crawl — and that's the stretch JD Piano Services works before the first bell. Driveways get cleared first so parents can back out, then the walk to the corner where kids cut through on their way to class. Evanston mornings in January can start well below zero, cold enough that the snow squeaks rather than crunches underfoot, and the crew works fast to keep hands from going numb between houses. It's a short list of streets covered block by block, driveway to sidewalk to driveway again, until the route to school is clear the whole way. There's nothing complicated about it — just a town's quietest hour, put back in working order before the day gets loud.
