About Done Right Handyman and Home Repair

The oldest blocks of Evanston still have the kind of porches you have to climb three steps to reach, and after a night of snow those steps are the first thing Done Right Handyman and Home Repair clears. It's slow, careful work — a shovel, a broom for the corners, salt down before anyone's boots hit the wood — done house by house through the neighborhoods near the historic district. Midmorning here often means a hard blue sky after a storm has already blown through, snow squeaking underfoot and steam rising off the river a few blocks away. The crew clears the walk to the gate, the path to the mailbox, the driveway apron where the plow leaves its ridge. It's a small job compared to a roofline or a parking lot, but it's the ten feet that decides whether a neighbor gets to the truck without falling. Done right, nobody notices it happened — they just walk out the door.
