Champion Services

About Champion Services

By late afternoon in Evanston the light goes thin and blue along Bear River Drive, and that's when Champion Services starts its rounds. The trucks work driveway by driveway while porch lights come on one at a time down the block, plow blades throwing arcs of snow into yards already gone gray with dusk. Evanston's storms often arrive on a wind that never fully quits, so a lot cleared at four can need a second pass by seven. The crew treats every return trip the same as the first: blade down, edge tight, walk swept clean to the door. It's a rhythm built for a town where the wind coming down the valley has the last word, and the job is to answer it anyway.
