The mowing is the visible part: stripes laid straight across the front, close trim work around trees and posts, a cut edge where lawn meets walk. The rest is the slower business of making grass thick enough to crowd the weeds out on its own. It is a satisfying trade — you drive past a month later and the lawn is doing the work for you.
