About Cody Tree Surgery

The cottonwoods along the Shoshone give Cody's older streets their shape, bare-branched all winter and holding a fine line of snow on every limb after a storm passes through. Cody Tree Surgery knows those same blocks from the ground up, and in the cold months the crew's ladders and saws give way to plows and shovels, clearing the driveways and walks under the same trees they prune come summer. A quiet street near the park can look like a woodcut after a good snowfall — until the plow comes through and the picture turns practical again. The crew works early, ahead of the school run toward the elementary school on downtown's edge, so the walk to the bus stop is bare concrete instead of packed snow. It's a small trade, tree work for snow work, but the town keeps needing both.
