Big Horn Tree & Shrub Care

About Big Horn Tree & Shrub Care

North of Cody, Heart Mountain carries the first snow of the year on its shoulder while the valley below is still gold. That's the stretch of autumn Big Horn Tree & Shrub Care likes best — cool enough to work all day, the cottonwoods along the river letting go, every yard in the basin asking to be put in order. The work runs from the ground up: turf mowed and cleared, shrubs shaped back off the walls and windows, trees thinned so wind moves through them instead of against them. Basin wind is patient and relentless, and a plant given room and a clean cut stands up to it far better than one left to crowd itself. Stepping back at day's end and seeing a yard that finally has shape is reason enough to do it carefully.
