About Herbert Lawn Services

The first frost usually shows up on the west side of Cheyenne, on those evenings when the sun drops behind Sherman Hill and the temperature follows it down within the hour. Herbert Lawn Services works right through that turn — the last mowings of the year, edges kept sharp, a fall feeding put down while the roots are still awake. Earlier in the season it is the familiar rotation of cutting, trimming, weed control and aeration on ground that bakes hard by July. September yards here have a particular look, silver at dawn and deep green by ten, and keeping them that way is the pleasure of the job. Then comes the cleanup, and the grass goes under for the winter in good order.
