NBS Services

About NBS Services

Late August along the Yellowstone Highway in Evansville, the heat sits on the pavement until nearly eight o'clock and the mowing gets pushed to the cool end of the evening. NBS Services works that stretch of yards and small lots when the light goes long and low, cutting a little higher through the hot weeks so the turf can hold its roots against the dry. Trimming follows the fence posts and the gravel edges; the walks get cleared before the truck rolls on. Come September the work turns to aeration and overseeding, opening tight ground so water actually reaches something. Watching a thin, tired lawn come back thick the following spring is the whole reason to do it right in the fall.
