About American LAWn Men

In the Old Yellowstone District the buildings are low brick and the river bends past the ferry crossing at Fort Caspar, only a few miles and a century and a half from the newest cul-de-sac on the east side. American LAWn Men keep grass at both ends of that stretch, running a route that touches the old streets and the new subdivisions in the same day. A route has its own rhythm once you know it — which yards need the trimmer worked slowly around a rock border, which ones want the mow lines turned ninety degrees this week so the grass stands back up. The edge along a walk is where the whole job gets judged, so it gets cut clean and straight the full length. One stripe laid true across a front yard is a small thing, and it is exactly the thing.
