By late September the aspen on the Caribou Range slopes have turned gold and frost finds the valley floor most nights. That is the stretch where Triple H Landscaping does some of its most useful work in Afton: leaves off the lawn before they mat, a final low cut, feeding worked in so the grass has something to hold onto through a long cold. None of it is glamorous and all of it matters, because a yard put to bed properly comes back faster in May.
