Storms come down off the Salt River Range fast, dropping dry Wyoming powder that a skid steer pushes easier than it looks, and the crew works driveways and farm lanes the same way it works foundations — one property at a time. Near the Salt River itself the bottomland holds cold air longest, fence posts rimed white well past mid-morning, but out along the valley's back roads the properties spread wide and the plowing takes longer. Al's clears driveways, farm access roads, and small commercial lots around Afton, keeping the valley's ranch lanes passable through a long, early winter.
