From the ridge at Dallas Pike you can watch spring climb: the valley greens first, then the hillsides, then finally the high open ground where the wind never quite stops. Mountain Valley Lawns runs that upper country — mowing, trimming and edging on exposed lots where weather arrives without much warning and dries a lawn faster than it does down in town. Fertilization and weed control keep that windblown turf thick enough to hold its own through a long summer. There is something worth doing about a wide lawn cut in even passes with the whole Ohio Valley opening out beyond it. Up here the view is the front yard's neighbor, and the grass is expected to keep up.
