J and M Fine Cut Lawn Care.

About J and M Fine Cut Lawn Care.

The National Road comes into Elm Grove past the old stone S-bridge over Little Wheeling Creek, and the lawns along it have been mown by somebody every May for generations. J and M Fine Cut Lawn Care. takes its turn at that: weekly mowing, string trimming around posts and fences, edging along the drives, clippings blown off the concrete before the truck pulls out. The name is about the cut itself — blade height set to the season, lines held straight, no scalped rise and no shaggy hollow. Late spring here grows grass faster than anyone expects, so the schedule holds week to week instead of drifting. A yard on that road ought to look like the road: kept up, and obviously so.
