About Backyard Escapes LLC

Wheeling builds its backyards upward — terrace above terrace on the hillsides, each one a small green room held by a retaining wall and a run of stone steps. Backyard Escapes LLC works those pockets of lawn, mowing and trimming where the ground tilts toward Wheeling Creek and a wide machine has nowhere to turn. Late in the day, when the light goes amber over the hollow and the first fireflies lift out of the cut grass, a finished yard reads like a room you would want to sit in. Edges are cut clean along the walls and walkways, clippings get blown off the steps, and nothing is left behind to sweep. It is ordinary work done for the pleasure of the result: a backyard that feels like somewhere else without leaving the block.
