Ashton's Mowing and Gardening

About Ashton's Mowing and Gardening

Up on Marland Heights the yards come in tiers, held by stone walls and short flights of steps, with the Ohio Valley opening out below. Ashton's Mowing and Gardening takes them on in summer's last light, mowing what can be mowed, hand-trimming what cannot, and keeping the garden beds weeded and shaped along the walls. Gardening in Weirton often means working around plantings that came with the house, and knowing what to cut back and what to leave alone. The satisfaction is a terrace that reads as one piece from the street: grass even, beds dark, nothing spilling over the edge. The same care carries down the hill and out toward Follansbee and Wellsburg.
