About Valley Lawn & Landscaping LLC

March mornings come up out of the fields toward Winfield in a low white mist, and underneath it the grass has already decided to go. That is when Valley Lawn & Landscaping LLC starts its year: pulling winter's litter out of beds and fencerows, cutting back what died off, taking the first mow a touch high, freshening the mulch lines so everything else has an edge to grow against. It is unglamorous work done in cold gloves. But it sets the whole summer — a lawn opened up properly in spring is the one still thick in August. There is a particular pleasure in that first pass of the season, when the mower finally has something to say.
