About Sallada's Lawn Care LLC

By mid-November the valley holds its cold overnight and the low yards wear frost until nearly ten in the morning. Sallada's Lawn Care LLC works the back end of the season around Buffalo and Bancroft — the last leaves lifted off the turf, a final cut taken low, edges cleaned so the lines survive the freeze and thaw ahead. It is unglamorous work done in gloves, and it decides how a lawn looks in April more than anything done in June ever will. There is a particular pleasure in a yard closed out clean, bare and tidy, ready to sit under whatever the winter sends down the valley. Then the ground turns over and the whole thing begins again.
