Hunter's Lawn Care

About Hunter's Lawn Care

There is a stretch before dawn in Scott Depot when the valley fog sits low in the fields and the only sound is the interstate a mile off. Hunter's Lawn Care is usually loading by then — ramps down, route set, the first yard timed for the moment the grass dries enough to cut. The work is mowing, string trimming, edging, and clearing every last clipping off the concrete, repeated with enough consistency that people stop keeping track of when it happens. By the time the fog lifts off the low ground, three lawns are behind them and the truck is halfway to Hurricane. Beating the heat is half of this trade around here; the other half is refusing to hurry the parts that show.
