About Grass roots lawn care & landscaping llc

Renick lies in the northern reaches of the Greenbrier Valley, where the Greenbrier River slides past limestone and pastures run right to the edge of town. This is karst country, with thin soil over stone, and a lawn here lives or dies by what happens underground. Grass roots lawn care & landscaping llc takes its name at its word, working from the ground up: mowing, trimming the edges and shaping beds so the landscaping sits naturally against the hills. In early fall, when the river runs low and clear and frost first silvers the fields, a well-tended Renick yard glows bright against the turning slopes. The work starts low and shows all the way out to the lane.
