Summer evenings run long on the plateau, and the light out past Camp Creek stays workable well after most towns have gone dark. Lawngevity uses those hours on Princeton properties — mowing, trimming around trees and posts, edging the walks, and clearing the drive at the end. A lawn kept on rhythm through July never has to be rescued in August, and that is most of the trick. Growth in this part of the state comes in bursts after every storm, so the schedule bends to the grass rather than the calendar. What lasts is the even, unbroken green carried from one visit to the next.
