About Adam's Lawn Care

Nitro was drawn up in a hurry a century ago, avenues numbered straight across the bottomland by the Kanawha, and that grid still makes for some of the most satisfying lawns to cut in the valley. Adam's Lawn Care works them in spring especially, when the river bottom warms early and the grass comes on ahead of the hills around it. The first mowings of the year are the ones that change a street — trimmed around the porch steps, edged along the sidewalk, clippings swept off the concrete. After that it is steady maintenance, week over week, so no yard ever has to be rescued. Straight streets deserve straight lines, and that is the whole ambition here.
