About Mulkeen Landscaping & Tree Service

When the ice finally lets go on the Cheat side of the ridge, the yards out toward Coopers Rock come out of winter with a season's worth of limbs and matted leaves lying wherever the wind left them. Mulkeen Landscaping & Tree Service opens the year there — raking beds back to bare mulch, clearing deadfall, cutting shrubs into shape before the buds break. Then the mowing begins, and with it the edging, the trimming, and the first attention paid to grass that has been waiting under snowmelt since February. Working beneath big trees is its own craft: dappled lawns, root flare in the turf, the shady north side that never quite fills in. The reward is a March yard that looks intentional again, beds sharp, lawn free of everything winter dropped on it.
