About Mountain State Lawn Service

The West Virginia line runs right along the bottom of Dunkard Township, close enough that the name of this outfit makes perfect sense. Mountain State Lawn Service covers both halves of the year — mowing, trimming, edging and cleanups while the hills are green, plowing, shoveling and de-icing once they are not. Weather here does not so much arrive as pour over the ridges from the southwest, and it can trade rain for snow between one hollow and the next. That is why the truck carries a blade in one season and a mower deck in the other, and why the same properties stay on the route straight through. Mount Morris, Point Marion and the township roads in between are all part of it.
