Come October the hardwoods above the Cheat River gorge turn nearly all at once, and the color that makes Coopers Rock worth the drive ends up, a week later, down in everybody's yard. Lazzelle and Sons Lawn Care works the tail end of the year as attentively as the middle of it, with the last cuts as growth slows, leaves pulled off the turf and out of the beds and carried away, borders recut along the walks so the lines still show under a low autumn sun.
