Wetzel's Lawn Care

About Wetzel's Lawn Care

East of Huntington the Mud River loops through Barboursville and on toward Milton, and the flats along it stay green well after the hills have turned brown. Wetzel's Lawn Care works the evenings when the light hangs on, finishing the last yard of the day under a sky going orange above the tree line. Mowing, trimming, edging and seasonal cleanups carry the route from the first warm week of the year to the final leaf. Some lots run wide and open along the valley floor; others are notched into the hillside above it, and each one gets read before the first pass. What stays with a person is the finish — a lawn squared up, the walk swept, nothing left behind but the smell of cut grass.
