About West Home & Lawn

In Guyandotte the brick is old and the mornings come up damp, fog sitting low on the river until the sun clears the far bank. West Home & Lawn starts the August route about then, when dew still beads on the blades and the cut comes off clean. Mowing, edging along the walks, trimming close to fence posts and foundations, clippings cleared before the truck moves to the next address. Late-summer grass on this bottomland grows fast and heavy after a storm, so the route keeps rolling whether the week feels like it or not. What lasts is the order of a yard just finished — stripes still showing, edges square, everything one height from the porch steps clear back to the alley.
