About Trees by Brandon

Above the city the ridge behind Rotary Park goes copper and rust by the middle of October, and everything below it, the yards and drives and neat squares of grass, sits against that color for a few weeks. Trees by Brandon works those Huntington lawns under tall shade, where the ground is rooty, the light comes through filtered and the grass wants a patient hand. Mowing, trimming the tight spots around trunks and stone, edging the walks, clearing leaves and clippings so nothing smothers what is still growing. The pleasure is in the contrast: wild hillside on one side of the property line, kept lawn on the other, and a clean line drawn between them.
