About Stephen K Saunders

In late winter the hollows past Harveytown hold their brown a long time, and then one warm week along Fourpole Creek the whole valley turns over at once. Stephen K Saunders opens the Huntington season there with the first cleanup: clearing winter litter out of the yard, taking that first low pass with the mower, cutting the edges back into the walks where turf has crept over them since fall. That opening cut sets the shape everything else follows. From then on it is a steady weekly rhythm, mow and trim and clear, straight through the growing months. A yard that starts the year squared away tends to stay that way.
