About Carpenter’s Lawn Care, LLC

Late in the afternoon in Highlawn the sun comes back off the Ohio and lays a long copper light across yards that sit in the shadow of the floodwall. Carpenter's Lawn Care, LLC works this end of Huntington on a weekly rhythm: mow, trim the fence lines and the meter posts, edge the walks, clear the clippings before leaving. River-valley soil grows thick and fast in June, so the difference between a lawn kept and a lawn caught up is one missed week. Small yards behind the wall get the same attention as the wide ones out on the boulevard. It is plain work, and the pleasure in it is plain too: a straight edge, a mower shut off, a yard that looks like somebody meant it.
