About May Brothers Company

Up on the ridge above the Monongahela the wind crosses open ground with nothing to break it, and by late May the grass stands tall and moves in sheets. May Brothers Company handles the larger lawns around Fairmont — long frontages, deep back lots, the kind of acreage that needs a plan before it needs a machine. Mowing in laid-out passes, trimming the whole perimeter, cutting borders where lawn meets gravel or wall, and carrying off what comes loose. Big properties show sloppiness from a distance, so the lines have to run true the entire way out. When they do, the whole ridge looks intentional.
