About Earthworks Excavation and Landscaping LLC

April at the mouth of Prickett's Creek brings the meadow up all at once, green rushing over ground that was mud two weeks earlier. Earthworks Excavation and Landscaping LLC opens its season about then, mowing the first thin growth, trimming around posts and stone, edging the walks back to their true lines. There is a pleasure in that first cut of the year — the smell of it, the difference visible from the road before the machine is even loaded up. Through the summer they hold what April started, week over week, tidying as they go. Marion County ground is generous if you meet it early.
