About A1 General Contracting

Late afternoon along Locust Avenue, the sun drops behind the ridge and the shade comes down the hill in one long sweep. A1 General Contracting keeps lawns in that terraced part of Fairmont, where front yards climb in short steps and a mower gets walked more than driven. The work is mowing, trimming around retaining walls and stone steps, edging the walks, and blowing the cuttings off the concrete before leaving. There is a particular satisfaction in a steep yard cut clean, the passes holding the slope so the whole hillside looks tended. That is the result they are after, house by house up the grade.
