About Hh

Branchland follows the Guyandotte River through Lincoln County, a narrow ribbon of homes and gardens pressed between the water and the wooded hills. Hh mows lawns up and down this valley, where July afternoons hang heavy and warm and the grass along the river bottom grows fast and dark. Mowing on schedule stops a yard here from turning into meadow, and careful trimming along fences and porches makes the whole place feel cared for. Cicadas buzz from the slopes, the Guyandotte slides past brown and slow, and a just-cut lawn smells of summer itself. In a valley this tight, a neat yard is a gift to everyone driving the river road.
