About Warden's Services, LLC

Beckley sits high on the plateau, and on a June morning the fog is still pooled down in the hollows while the yards up on the ridge are already dry enough to cut. That is the hour Warden's Services, LLC likes best — mower off the trailer, the first pass laid down along a fence line, the smell of cut grass rising before the day gets heavy. Lawns here don't lie flat and obedient; they tilt toward Piney Creek, they wrap around old coal-camp streets, they run out under maples that drop something in every month of the year. The work is mowing those slopes clean, edging the walks so the line between grass and concrete is a decision instead of an accident, trimming the corners a deck can't reach, and hauling off what's left so a yard looks finished rather than merely mown. Come October, when the hills above Raleigh County turn and the wind carries leaves across everything, the job is putting a yard back in order one more time before winter. Neat grass on hard ground, from MacArthur out to Shady Spring — that's the whole ambition, and it's plenty.
