About Ohio Valley Grass Monkey's

Some yards never sit level — they tip off the high ground and slide down toward the treeline, one pitch after another. A lawn like that is seldom one flat thing; it is a bank, a pitch, a terrace of grass with a roof showing over the far edge. Ohio Valley Grass Monkey's mows that kind of ground, running the deck across the slope and walking a trimmer down the steep parts where wheels lose their nerve. The reward is a yard that reads clean all the way from the road: a straight line along the gravel drive, corners squared, clippings blown back off the concrete. On an August afternoon, when the heat settles thick, that green is the coolest-looking thing on the hill.
