About Wolosek Landscaping and Golf Course Materials Inc.

Spring reaches the Wisconsin River in stages — ice going gray up at Biron, meltwater running the ditches, then one warm week when everything at once wants to be graded, raked and planted. Wolosek Landscaping and Golf Course Materials Inc. meets that week head-on around Wisconsin Rapids, shaping lawns and landscapes, mowing and trimming as the turf comes back in, and working the sand and stone that central Wisconsin ground is built on. There is a genuine pleasure in a graded bed that drains, a lawn brought up thick and level, a border set so the mower can follow it without a second pass. Then the year flips over and the same iron is out plowing drives and lots before the schools have decided anything. Between the two ends of it, the ground here is never left to look after itself.
