About Old Time Home Chores LLC

At four in the morning in Wisconsin Rapids, the cold coming off the Wisconsin River has a sound to it — the squeak of dry snow underfoot before a single porch light comes on. That is the hour Old Time Home Chores LLC keeps, plowing and shoveling driveways on both sides of the river so the first shift can back out without thinking twice about it. Come May the same routes turn green and the work becomes mowing, trimming and hauling clippings from yards where the ground drinks a rain and dries by noon. There is an old-fashioned satisfaction in a walk scraped clean down to the concrete and a lawn cut in even, unhurried passes. None of it is complicated; it just has to be done, and done before anybody has to ask.
