Cutting Edge Tree Service

About Cutting Edge Tree Service

The Wisconsin River squeezes between sandstone walls at the Dells, and the white pines along that rim have learned to hold on to almost nothing. Cutting Edge Tree Service works the yards and cottage lots up above the gorge — Wisconsin Dells, Lake Delton, out toward Baraboo — where big pines and silver maples lean over roofs, decks and gravel turnarounds. Removals are rigged and lowered a piece at a time when there is no room to lay a tree down, and trimming and pruning open a crown to light and take the sail out of a limb before the next line of weather comes up the valley. After a storm has torn through, the work is simpler and heavier: limbs off the roof, the trunk cut up and carried out, the lawn combed back to something you would walk on barefoot. By evening the only sign left is a straighter skyline and a drive you can back down again.
