Mike's lawn care

About Mike's lawn care

Saturday evening in Winfield, the sun drops behind the barns and fireflies start lifting out of the tall grass along the field edges. Mike's lawn care keeps the grass nearer the house from getting that tall. The work is straightforward: mowing, trimming along fence lines and mailbox posts, and sweeping clippings off the walk. In a rural town where everyone sees everyone's yard from the road, a fresh cut is a kind of greeting. When the last pass is finished and the engine goes quiet, the evening smells green and the yard looks ready for company.
