About Proper Grounds LLC

September in Whitewater belongs to the students — Wells Street busy again, the campus lawns near UW-Whitewater cut short and holding green well into fall. Proper Grounds LLC keeps that same standard on the blocks around it: mowing on schedule, trimming close to foundations and fence lines, hauling off the season's leaves when the maples finally let go. Then the semester runs into winter and the trucks go out to plow driveways and clear the walks that neighbors and students alike take at seven in the morning. The name is the entire idea — grounds that look right, in September and in January. A town this walkable notices either way.
