About Turf MD's

August puts a Wausau lawn on trial: three dry weeks, a hard afternoon sun, and the thin ground under the big silver maples is always first to quit. Turf MD's reads a yard the way you would read a chart, noting where it is stressed, where the shade never lifts, and where the mower has been scalping that one high spot beside the driveway. The deck comes up, the trimming stays tight, and cleanups pull off the thatch and litter smothering whatever is still trying to recover. Then the cool nights of September arrive, the color floods back, and the stripes hold all the way to the curb. Watching a tired lawn come back is the good part of the job.
