About Batzel Turf LLC

The old rail grade running through West Salem keeps a mowing calendar of its own: when the crushed limestone of the La Crosse River State Trail starts kicking up dust, the grass has woken for good. Batzel Turf LLC keeps to that rhythm, mowing and trimming through the long green middle of the year and edging the walks until the lines look drawn rather than cut. Come November the mowers give way to plows, and the same yards get read a second way — where the wind stacks it, where a shovel has to finish what the blade cannot. Cleanups bracket the season on either end, leaves off the beds in fall, the lawn opened back up to the light in spring. It is one property, watched the whole way around the year.
