Scott Landscape

About Scott Landscape

For roughly ten days every October the maples around Ridge Run Park go copper and the light comes in low and sideways, and then the wind out of the northwest takes the whole show down into everybody's yard at once. Scott Landscape works West Bend through that stretch, hauling leaves off lawns before the wet mats down and smothers the grass underneath. The last cuts of the year happen in this light too, a little shorter each pass, setting the turf up to go under the snow clean. Beds get cleared, corners get raked out, the fence lines and window wells emptied of everything the wind stuffed into them. There is real contentment in closing a property for the season — one bare, combed lawn, ready to be forgotten about until April.
