About Professional landscape contractors Inc.

Head a few miles west of West Bend and the ground quits being flat — the Kettle Moraine left this corner of Wisconsin a run of gravel ridges, abrupt kames and bowl-shaped hollows, and the yards out here inherited every bit of that roll. Professional landscape contractors Inc. mows and tends lawns across that terrain, where a straight pass is less a given than a negotiation with the hill. By the last week of May the turf has come all the way in, deep and fast-growing, and holding an even height over rising and falling ground takes a feel for where the mower wants to drift. Trimming picks up what the deck cannot — the base of a boulder the glacier dropped, the lip of a swale, the fence line running downslope. Done right, the whole property reads as one unbroken sweep of green laid over land that was never level to begin with.
