About Winter Services - West Allis, WI

The storms that matter here come out of the northwest, dry and fast, and they cross the flat blocks of West Allis in the middle of the night while Greenfield Avenue lies empty under its lights. Winter Services - West Allis, WI is out in exactly that hour: plow down the drive, blade work along the lot lines, shovels for the front steps and the path to the back door, salt laid where the melt would otherwise refreeze by morning. There is real pride in a driveway opened before the alarm rings — someone steps outside braced for a shovel and finds clear ground instead. Some nights it is two inches and a single pass; some nights the wind keeps redrawing the drifts and it takes three. Either way the street wakes up passable, and that is the point of the whole long season.
