Pink Service Company

About Pink Service Company

The best twenty minutes of a West Allis winter come right at sunrise the morning after a storm, when the low light turns every snowbank on the block pale pink. Pink Service Company has usually been out for hours by then — plowing drives and lots, clearing walks and steps, salting the shaded runs that would otherwise glaze over by noon. Snow here falls dry and blowing off the lake some nights and heavy enough to bend a shrub double on others; the work adjusts to whichever storm shows up. What stays constant is the finish: pavement cleared right out to its edges before the day begins.
